A couple of CMU students got together and made a website where they answer all questions incoming freshmen ask.

AND they filmed at Carnegie Mellon

AND the mayor of Pittsburgh in the trailer is CMU’s kicker for the football team

AND there’s a fight scene at the steps of one of CMU’s Oakland campus buildings

AND some of the extras were CMU and of course UPitt students

I’m sure there’s a lot of things. Nothing comes to mind immediately though.

Probably volunteering at Inova.

The hospital hounds a lot of tragic moments for us, so my parents were surprised when I told them I was trying to start volunteering there.

The other volunteers at the Auxiliary complete it. Sadly more than half quit because they got into college and Carrie is crazy.

Volunteering at the hospital is a constant reminder that I have what it takes to help people and that life is short. Be grateful and keep looking up, you know?

I like a lot of my classes.

But I think my favorite is Mr. Munson’s PreAP English class (do they even have PreAP classes now?). We watched a few movies, had tons of group projects that I thought were fun, listened to interesting lectures, etc. I remember laughing a lot and thinking the class was really chill.

The most memorable project we had was the tedious Macbeth video project. We had a lot of fun recording it. I think I still have the video files saved on this laptop.

And he hung up the poster I drew for the Things They Carried project, which was pretty awesome. I visited his class this year to see it again and I’m not really sure why he put it up lol

Yeah, fun class :D

The Glass Menagerie

It’s a beautifully scripted play that deals with the idea of the past, dreams, the difficulty of accepting reality, etc.

The main characters are all disillusioned but they’re very similar to you and me if you could make that comparison.

I guess we’re all disillusioned.

It gave me a lot to think about.
